Bespoke facial treatment at Wilbury Clinic

Tailored. Always.

The honest bit

What it is, and
who it's for.

Straight talk before you lie back. If a facial isn't what your skin actually needs, we'll say so - and point you somewhere better.

What it is

Not a facial off a menu. Your therapist reads your skin on the day and builds the treatment around it - cleanse, exfoliation, extractions if needed, massage, mask and active ingredients all chosen for how your skin is right now.

It's deliberately unhurried - part results, part proper switch-off.

Good for you if
  • Your skin feels dull, congested, tired or dehydrated
  • You want expert hands-on care rather than guesswork at home
  • Your skin shifts with seasons, hormones or stress
  • You'd like an hour to genuinely relax while your skin is looked after
Not for you if
  • You have an active cold sore, infection or broken skin in the area
  • You've had injectables, peels or laser very recently - we'll advise on timing
  • You're after a deep clinical change that needs a prescribed course
  • You expect one facial to permanently fix everything - skin needs consistency

Your visit

An unhurried
hour.

The whole appointment is around 60 minutes - deliberately slow, because good skin care isn't something to rush.

A therapist preparing a bespoke facial at Wilbury Clinic
  1. We read your skin first

Your therapist assesses your skin on the day, talks through your concerns, lifestyle and routine, then decides exactly which steps and products your skin needs.

  2. Cleanse & exfoliate

A thorough double cleanse and tailored exfoliation to lift away the day and prep your skin, with gentle extractions if congestion needs clearing.

  3. Massage & mask

The part everyone loves - a relaxing facial massage followed by a mask matched to your skin, while actives and hydration do their work.

  4. Finish & protect

Serums, moisturiser and SPF to seal it all in, plus honest homecare advice so the glow lasts well beyond the treatment room.

Results

What to expect,
when.

A facial gives an immediate lift, but healthy skin is a habit - here's how one treatment settles, and why regular visits build the biggest difference.

  1. Straight after

Skin looks brighter, feels softer and more hydrated. A little flush or warmth is normal, especially if extractions were done, and settles quickly.

  2. The next day

Any redness has calmed, skin feels fresh and makeup tends to sit more smoothly. This is often when the glow looks its best.

  3. Over the following week

Hydration and radiance hold as your skin turns over. Sticking to the homecare we suggest is what keeps it going.

  4. With regular facials

Booking roughly every 4-6 weeks, in line with your skin cycle, is where you see lasting improvements in tone, texture and clarity.

This is a single treatment, not a course - results vary from person to person, and your ideal frequency will be discussed honestly at your visit.

Aftercare

Keep the glow going.

Simple rules, big difference. We'll give you the full rundown on the day - here's the short version.

Do

  • Drink plenty of water and let your skin breathe
  • Keep to gentle, hydrating skincare for a day or two
  • Wear SPF 30+ daily - freshly exfoliated skin loves protection
  • Rebook regularly to keep results building

Avoid

  • × Heavy makeup for the rest of the day, if you can
  • × Saunas, steam rooms, hot baths and intense workouts for 24 hours
  • × Active exfoliants, retinoids and acids for a couple of days
  • × Direct sun and sunbeds on freshly treated skin

A note on your skin: a facial is a treatment, not a magic fix - if you have a medical skin condition or take actives, tell us so we can adapt safely, or refer you if something else suits you better.

Questions

Asked all
the time.

How often should I have a facial?

For ongoing skin health, roughly every 4-6 weeks works well - that lines up with your skin's natural renewal cycle. Before an event, a single facial a few days ahead is lovely for a fresh glow. Your therapist will suggest a rhythm that suits your skin and your budget, with no pressure to overbook.

Will one facial fix my skin?

Honestly, one facial gives you an immediate boost - brighter, softer, more hydrated skin - but lasting change comes from consistency and good homecare. Think of a facial as a reset and a chance to get expert advice, not a one-off cure. If you have a specific concern, we'll talk through the most effective plan for it.

Can I wear makeup afterwards?

You can, but we'd gently suggest letting your skin breathe for the rest of the day so it gets the full benefit. If you're heading straight out, a little tinted SPF is fine. By the next morning your skin will be settled and makeup usually goes on beautifully.
