Facials & skin
Derma planing.
Sweeps away peach fuzz and dead skin for silky smoothness.
Skin-first. Always.
The honest bit
What it is, and
who it's for.
Straight talk before a single stroke. If your skin isn't in the right place for it today, we'll say so - and suggest something kinder.
A gentle physical exfoliation. A sterile surgical blade is held at an angle and swept across the skin to lift away dead skin cells and the fine, downy vellus hair we call peach fuzz.
The result is instantly smoother, brighter skin - and makeup and skincare that glide on and sink in beautifully.
- Your skin looks dull, rough or a little flaky
- Peach fuzz bothers you or makeup catches on it
- You want an instant glow with no real downtime
- You'd like your serums and SPF to absorb better
- You have active acne, breakouts or inflamed skin
- Your skin is very reactive or rosacea-prone - we'll check
- You have a cold sore or any broken skin in the area
- You want permanent hair removal - this isn't that
Your visit
A calm glide
to silky.
The whole appointment is around 45 minutes - unhurried on purpose. The smoothing itself is a relaxing few minutes of gentle strokes.
-
We chat first
Your practitioner looks at your skin, checks it's suitable today, and talks through what dermaplaning will and won't do for you.
-
Cleanse and prep
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed and dried, so the blade can move smoothly and safely across a clean surface.
-
The treatment
The sterile blade is drawn across your skin in light, short strokes, lifting away dead cells and fine hair. Most people find it soothing - no needles, no numbing.
-
Finish and downtime
We soothe and protect the skin with SPF, and you're good to go. Skin may look a little pink for an hour or so - that's it.
Results
What to expect,
when.
Dermaplaning is a single treatment with an immediate result - and because your skin renews and hair regrows, the glow is refreshed with each visit.
-
Straight away
Skin feels instantly smoother and looks brighter, the peach fuzz is gone, and makeup sits flawlessly.
-
The first few days
That fresh, luminous look holds, and your skincare absorbs noticeably better with the dead-cell layer removed.
-
Around 3-4 weeks
The vellus hair grows back at exactly the same fine, soft texture it was before, and skin renewal comes full circle.
-
Ongoing
Many people rebook every 3-4 weeks to keep skin consistently smooth - but a one-off before a big event is perfectly fine too.
Results vary from person to person - how your skin responds and how often to book will be talked through honestly at your consultation.

Aftercare
Keep the glow going.
Simple rules, big difference. We'll give you the full rundown on the day - here's the short version.
Do
- ✓ Wear SPF 30+ daily - freshly exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive
- ✓ Keep skin hydrated with a gentle, soothing moisturiser
- ✓ Use only calm, mild products for the first day or two
- ✓ Keep your hands clean before touching your face
Avoid
- × Direct sun and sunbeds for 24-48 hours
- × Retinoids, acids and exfoliating scrubs for a few days
- × Heavy makeup for the rest of the same day if you can
- × Saunas, steam rooms and hard workouts for 24 hours
Questions
Asked all
the time.
Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?
No - this is the most common worry and it's a myth. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus (peach fuzz) hair at the surface, it doesn't touch the follicle or change how hair grows. It comes back at exactly the same soft, fine texture and colour it was before. Because the ends are blunt rather than tapered it can briefly feel a touch different, but it isn't thicker or darker.
Does it hurt?
Not at all - most people find it genuinely relaxing. It feels like a light scratching or gentle tickle as the blade glides across the skin, with no numbing needed. In skilled hands it's completely comfortable, and you'll leave with skin that feels wonderfully smooth.
How often should I have it done?
Every 3-4 weeks suits most people, which matches the skin's natural renewal cycle and the regrowth of vellus hair. That said, a single treatment before a special occasion is a lovely one-off - there's no obligation to commit to a course.
