Skin health & texture
Micro needling.
Kick-starts your skin's own repair for smoother texture.
Consultation-led. Always.
The honest bit
What it is, and
who it's for.
Straight talk before we start. Microneedling is a skin renewal treatment, not a quick fix - and if it's not right for you, we'll say so.
A device fitted with very fine needles is glided across numbed skin, creating thousands of tiny controlled channels. Your skin reads these as micro-injuries and switches on its natural repair - building fresh collagen over the following weeks.
The result is smoother texture, softer fine lines and a healthier glow - built gradually, session by session.
- Your skin looks dull or feels uneven in texture
- You want to soften acne scarring or enlarged pores
- Fine lines and general skin quality are on your mind
- You're happy to commit to a short course for best results
- You're pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have active acne, a cold sore or infection in the area
- You've taken oral acne medication (isotretinoin) recently - we'll check
- You're prone to keloid scarring - we'll assess this first
Your visit
Numbing first,
glow later.
The whole appointment is around 45-60 minutes, most of which is letting the numbing cream do its job. The needling itself is roughly 20 minutes.
-
We chat first
Your practitioner assesses your skin, talks through what's realistic for your concerns, and maps out how many sessions you're likely to need - no template plan.
-
Numbing cream
We cleanse the skin and apply a numbing cream, then give it around 20-30 minutes to take effect so the treatment stays comfortable.
-
The treatment
The device passes over your skin in sections, creating tiny channels. Most people describe it as a light prickle or fine sandpaper sensation - the numbing keeps it very manageable.
-
Downtime to expect
Skin looks flushed and feels warm, a bit like mild sunburn, for 24-48 hours. It may feel tight or flake slightly as it renews - easy to plan around a quiet day or two.
Results
What to expect,
when.
Collagen takes weeks to build, so microneedling works best as a course - your skin keeps improving in the weeks after each session.
-
First few days
Redness and warmth settle, and skin may feel tight or flake a little as the surface renews. Completely normal.
-
1-2 weeks after each session
Skin looks fresher, smoother and brighter as the surface renews. The deeper collagen work is only just beginning.
-
Across your course
Most people need a course of around 3-6 sessions, spaced roughly 4-6 weeks apart, for a real difference in texture, scarring and fine lines.
-
Longer term
Results build gradually and keep improving over months. Occasional maintenance sessions help hold onto your glow.
Results vary from person to person - your likely outcome, number of sessions and spacing will be assessed honestly at your consultation.

Questions
Asked all
the time.
Does it hurt?
We apply a numbing cream first and give it time to work, so most people feel pressure and a light prickle rather than pain. Bonier areas like the forehead can feel a little more, but it's generally very manageable - and we always check in with you as we go.
How many sessions will I need?
Microneedling works by building collagen over time, so it's a course rather than a one-off. Most people have around 3-6 sessions spaced roughly 4-6 weeks apart, depending on their skin and goals. We'll give you an honest plan at your consultation - and occasional maintenance sessions help hold your results.
When can I wear makeup again?
Give your skin a full 24 hours before applying makeup, so the tiny channels can close and settle. During that window, stick to a gentle moisturiser and SPF. After that you're free to get back to your usual routine, easing active ingredients back in over the following days.
