Prescriber-led. Always.

The honest bit

What it is, and
who it's for.

Straight talk before a single needle appears. If it's not right for you, we'll say so - and point you somewhere better.

What it is

A "bio-remodelling" treatment made from stabilised hyaluronic acid. It's injected into a few set points, then spreads under the skin to deeply hydrate and stimulate your own collagen and elastin - improving quality, firmness and glow.

It isn't a filler and won't reshape or add volume. It's a medical treatment, so it always starts with a face to face consultation with our prescriber.

Good for you if
  • Your skin feels dry, dull or has lost a little bounce
  • You want overall glow and firmness, not reshaping
  • Crepey texture on the face, neck or hands bothers you
  • You're happy to do two sessions four weeks apart, then maintain
Not for you if
  • You're pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You want to fill a specific line or add contour - filler suits better
  • You have an active skin infection or breakout at the site
  • You're after an instant result - Profhilo builds over weeks

Your visit

Just a few
tiny points.

Each appointment is around 30 minutes, and Profhilo works as a course of two - four weeks apart - so we'll book you in twice to get you there.

  1. We chat first

Your prescriber assesses your skin quality, hydration and firmness, talks through what's realistic, and confirms Profhilo is the right choice for what's bothering you.

  2. The treatment

A small number of injections into set points using a fine needle - the gel is placed just under the skin so it can spread. Most people describe each one as a quick sting, over in seconds.

  3. How it feels after

Expect small raised bumps (blebs) at each injection point - these are meant to be there and settle within a few hours as the product disperses. A tiny bruise or mild redness is possible.

  4. Downtime? Barely any

Straight back to normal life - just don't massage or press the bumps, skip makeup for around 24 hours, and leave the gym, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours.

Results

What to expect,
when.

Profhilo stimulates your own collagen and elastin, so it isn't instant - the glow and firmness build gradually across the course.

  1. Session one

The bumps settle within a few hours and skin returns to normal by the next day. This kicks off the process - one session on its own isn't the full result.

  2. Four weeks later - session two

The second session completes the standard protocol. Together the two treatments give the skin what it needs to remodel properly.

  3. Around 8 weeks after session two

Results tend to peak here - skin looks more hydrated, firmer and glowier, with improved overall quality and texture.

  4. Longer term

Results typically last around six months. Most people keep it up with a maintenance session or a repeat course to hold onto the glow.

Results vary from person to person - your likely outcome, number of sessions and spacing will be assessed honestly at your consultation.

Aftercare

Keep the glow going.

Simple rules, big difference. We'll give you the full rundown on the day - here's the short version.

Do

  • Let the little bumps disperse naturally on their own
  • Stay well hydrated - it helps the treatment do its work
  • Keep to gentle skincare and daily SPF 30+
  • Sleep on your back the first night if you can

Avoid

  • × Massaging, rubbing or pressing the injection points
  • × Makeup on the area for around 24 hours
  • × Strenuous exercise, saunas, steam and alcohol for 24-48 hours
  • × Other facial treatments - peels, laser, facials - for about two weeks

One honest note: Profhilo is a prescription treatment and only suitable after a face to face assessment. We'll always check your history and skin before treating, and never treat if it isn't right for you.

Questions

Asked all
the time.

Is Profhilo a filler?

No - and it's an important difference. Filler is placed to add volume or reshape a specific area. Profhilo is a bio-remodelling treatment: it spreads under the skin to deeply hydrate and stimulate your own collagen and elastin, improving overall quality, firmness and glow rather than changing your shape.

How many sessions will I need?

The standard protocol is two sessions, four weeks apart. Results build over the following weeks and typically peak around eight weeks after the second session. Because the effect lasts around six months, most people keep it going with a maintenance session or repeat course. We'll set out a realistic plan at your consultation.

Does it hurt?

It's just a small number of injections at set points, each over in seconds - most people describe a quick sting. Afterwards you'll see small raised bumps at the injection sites, which are meant to be there and usually settle within a few hours as the product disperses.

Ready when you are

Firmer, glowier skin.
Same wonderful you.

Book your consultation and let's talk honestly about whether Profhilo is right for your skin. It's a course of two sessions, not a quick fix - and we'll be straight with you about what to expect.
