Veins & skin
Thread vein removal.
Fades visible thread veins on your face and legs.
Consultation-led. Always.
The honest bit
What it is, and
who it's for.
Straight talk before we start. If your veins would be better handled another way, we'll tell you - and point you somewhere better.
Thread veins are the tiny, dilated blood vessels you can see just under the skin - often on the cheeks and around the nose, or as fine spider veins on the legs. A precise, targeted treatment closes the vessel off so your body clears it and it gradually fades.
It always starts with a face to face consultation, so we can check what's causing the veins and confirm the right approach for your skin.
- Broken capillaries or facial thread veins bother you
- You've fine spider veins on your legs you'd rather not see
- You want them faded gradually and safely
- You're happy to have a short course if it's needed
- You're pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have larger, bulging varicose veins - these need assessing first
- You have a recent tan or sunburn on the area
- You expect every last vein gone in a single visit
Your visit
In and out
in a lunch break.
Each session is short - often around 30 minutes depending on the area - and you're straight back to your day. Clearing your veins usually takes more than one visit.
-
We chat first
Your practitioner looks closely at the veins, checks your skin type and rules out anything underlying, then talks through what's realistic and how many sessions you're likely to need.
-
The treatment
Precise pulses are applied along each vein to seal it off. Most people describe a quick warmth or a small sting with each one - manageable and over quickly.
-
How it feels after
Expect some redness and mild swelling around the treated veins. Veins may look darker before they fade, and the occasional small bruise or mark can appear - all settle over the following days.
-
Downtime? Minimal
Back to normal life right away - just keep the area cool, wear SPF, and skip heat, saunas and hard workouts for 24-48 hours.
Results
What to expect,
when.
Veins fade rather than vanish on the spot - your body clears the treated vessel over the following weeks, and stubborn areas often need more than one session.
-
Days after each session
Treated veins may darken and look more obvious at first, with some redness or a little swelling. This is normal - the fading comes next.
-
Over the following weeks
As your body clears the sealed vessels, the veins fade and soften. Sessions are typically spaced around 4-6 weeks apart to let the skin settle.
-
End of your course
Many people need a short course - often around 2 to 4 sessions - for a noticeable, even result, depending on the area and the veins being treated.
-
Longer term
Cleared veins usually stay gone, but sun, genetics and hormones can prompt new thread veins over time - some people book the occasional top-up.
Results vary from person to person - your likely outcome, number of sessions and spacing will be assessed honestly at your consultation.

Questions
Asked all
the time.
Will the veins come back?
Once a thread vein is treated and cleared, that particular vessel is gone for good. What we can't promise is that new ones won't appear - sun exposure, genetics, hormones and age can all prompt fresh thread veins over time. Many people find an occasional maintenance session keeps things looking clear.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe a quick warmth or a small sting with each pulse - brief and manageable, without needing numbing for most areas. Legs and larger areas can feel a little more sensitive than the face. Your consultation is the moment to talk through comfort and what to expect for your specific veins.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the area, the size and depth of the veins and how your skin responds - but many people need a short course, often around 2 to 4 sessions spaced a few weeks apart. We'll give you an honest estimate at your consultation rather than a one-size-fits-all promise.
