Weight Reduction Clinic consultation at Wilbury Clinic

Prescriber-led. Always.

The honest bit

What it is, and
who it's for.

Straight talk before anything starts. This is a medical programme, not a magic fix - and if it isn't right for you, we'll say so.

What it is

A medically supervised weight reduction programme: a full assessment, a realistic plan, and regular reviews. Where clinically appropriate, this may include prescription weight-loss medication alongside nutrition and lifestyle support.

It's a medical treatment, so it always starts with a face to face consultation with our prescriber.

Good for you if
  • You've struggled to lose weight with diet and exercise alone
  • You want medical guidance and honest accountability
  • Your weight and health mean a structured plan is appropriate
  • You're ready to commit to regular reviews over the months ahead
Not for you if
  • You're pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding
  • You have a history of certain eating disorders - we'll assess with care
  • Your weight is already in a healthy range and loss isn't clinically indicated
  • You're after a quick fix rather than lasting change

Your visit

It starts with
a proper chat.

Your first appointment is around 45 minutes - enough time to understand your health, your history and your goals before we agree a plan together.

A practitioner discussing a weight reduction plan at Wilbury Clinic
  1. We assess first

A full review of your health history, medications, weight, measurements and goals. We check whether a structured programme is safe and suitable for you.

  2. We build your plan

Realistic targets, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, and - where clinically appropriate - prescription medication chosen for you. No template, no pressure.

  3. Getting started

If medication is part of your plan, we show you exactly how to use it and talk through what to expect, including any common side effects.

  4. Regular reviews

Ongoing check-ins to track progress, adjust dosing safely and keep you supported. This is a programme over time, not a one-off appointment.

Results

What to expect,
when.

Healthy weight loss is gradual, not overnight - your results build week by week, with support and reviews along the way.

  1. First few weeks

Appetite changes and early adjustments as your body and any medication settle. The aim is small, steady change - not dramatic drops.

  2. First 1-3 months

For many people, weight begins to come down steadily as new habits bed in. We review regularly and adjust your plan as needed.

  3. Ongoing

A safe, sustained rate of loss is the goal, reviewed at each appointment. Progress isn't always linear, and that's completely normal.

  4. Longer term

The real win is keeping it off - maintaining changes, protecting your health and stepping support down gradually when you're ready.

Results vary from person to person - your likely outcome, suitability and pace will be assessed honestly at your consultation.

Real results

Before & after.

Real clients, real journeys, no filters. We only ever share progress with full permission.

Happy to talk you through realistic outcomes in person - ask at your consultation and we'll be honest about what a programme can achieve for you.

Staying on track

Keep the momentum going.

Simple habits, big difference. We'll give you the full plan in person - here's the short version.

Do

  • Keep your review appointments - they're how we keep you safe and on track
  • Build meals around protein, fibre and plenty of water
  • Keep moving with activity you actually enjoy
  • Take any prescribed medication exactly as directed, and tell us about side effects

Avoid

  • × Skipping meals or crash dieting to speed things up
  • × Buying weight-loss medication from unregulated online sources
  • × Comparing your pace to anyone else's - your plan is yours
  • × Excess alcohol and constant ultra-processed snacking where you can

Questions

Asked all
the time.

Will I definitely be given medication?

Not necessarily. Prescription weight-loss medication is only offered where it's clinically appropriate and safe for you - and it's always prescriber-led, after a proper assessment. For some people the plan is nutrition and lifestyle support alone. We'll be honest with you about what's right, rather than reaching for a prescription by default.

How quickly will I lose weight?

Healthy weight loss is gradual, and a safe, steady rate is what we aim for. Some people see changes within the first few weeks, others take a little longer, and progress isn't always a straight line. We won't promise a set number on the scales - what we can promise is honest guidance and regular review so your plan stays right for you.

Do I have to keep coming back?

Yes - this is a programme, not a one-off appointment. Regular reviews let us track your progress, adjust anything safely, and support you through the ups and downs. Over time, as things stabilise, appointments can space out, but ongoing check-ins are an important part of doing this properly.

Ready when you are

Real change.
Properly supported.

Book your consultation and let's talk honestly about whether our Weight Reduction Clinic is right for you. No pressure, no hard sell - just a realistic plan and people who care how you get there.
